Subject: Introducing Baby Tosh – A Unique Musical Experience for Your Venue

Dear [Recipient's Name],

Following our recent conversation, I would like to introduce you to Baby Tosh, a Scottish-born, USA-based singer, pianist, and songwriter, renowned for his emotive performances and eclectic musical style. His work seamlessly blends jazz, classical, pop, folk, and traditional Jewish and Scottish music, with live piano looping and improvisation being integral to his shows.

Musical Style & Performances

Baby Tosh is known for his dynamic and unpredictable performances, offering two distinct shows:

  1. Original Operetta – Paper Gun: An emotionally powerful piece that explores vulnerability and the complexities of the human experience. Described as “an exercise in expressing things you can never express,” this show offers an intimate and reflective atmosphere that resonates with audiences.

  2. Six Decades of Jewish Songwriters: A tribute to Jewish musical legends, this show features classic songs from artists like Frank Sinatra (and his Jewish songwriters), Neil Diamond, Amy Winehouse, and Bob Dylan, all presented with Baby Tosh's unique style.

You can view live samples of his performances at:

The Operetta offers a deeply personal experience, addressing the universal struggle of balancing external strength with internal challenges. Its jazz-inflected melodies and heartfelt lyrics create an atmosphere ripe for reflection and emotional connection. As Tzipporah Naim said, "Baby Tosh held up a mirror to the audience, inviting us to wrestle with ourselves, each other, and with G-d. And isn’t that the truest form of art? Unforgettable performance!"

His shows are a fusion of conversation, humor, and musical mastery, often leaving audiences with the feeling of having experienced something truly special – “like a pre-WWII era artistic gathering.”

Tour Dates

We are currently planning a tour route, and Baby Tosh will be passing your area on the following dates: [Insert Dates].

For booking, please feel free to contact me directly at Alan Gestetner at alan@babytosh.com or by phone at 845-323-2631, or reach out to Baby Tosh himself to schedule at paul@babytosh.com or 904-860-2362.

Kind regards,

Alan Gestetner
Manager, Baby Tosh

P.S.
While the Operetta is Baby Tosh's signature work, a combination of the J Writers show might be a great way to draw a crowd. However, based on audience feedback, the Operetta often leaves the most lasting impression. Of course, we are happy to adjust the program to suit your preference—whether it’s the Operetta alone or a combination with the J Writers show.

Insights from Recent Performances

Two notable quotes from Baby Tosh’s recent performance in Charleston, February 2025:

  1. Libby Fox (Hostess):
“Last night made me feel like a pre-WWII era of the arts in Jewish society! Loved it.”
    Libby Fox, Director, swampfoxdockandmarine.com

  2. Tzipporah Naim (Guest):
“Baby Tosh’s recent performance was nothing short of a revelation. The operetta wove an intricate dance between self-awareness and illusion. Even after the performance ended, the depth of what we had experienced lingered, waiting to be unpacked in solitude. Baby Tosh didn’t just perform—he held up a mirror, inviting us to wrestle with ourselves, each other, and G-d. Unforgettable. So grateful to Glen for recording!"
    Tzipporah Naim

Kiruv on Campus:

I firmly believe that the Operetta, Paper Gun, has great potential for Kiruv on campuses. As Rabbi Jonathan Sacks mentioned in an interview (quoted below), the absence of Jewish aesthetic art on campuses has led to the loss of Jewish identity for many students. This is precisely where Paper Gun fits in as a piece of emotional and spiritual art that resonates with Jewish students.

Rabbi Jonathan Sacks' Perspective:

“We are missing an ‘affective’ dimension of Judaism—the emotional life. Music, particularly music from the Jewish soul, is crucial. We’ve written everyone else’s music, but where is our own? What does the life of faith actually do to you?”

Rabbi Sacks highlights the importance of engaging emotionally with Jewish faith, something that Baby Tosh’s Operetta, Paper Gun, aims to achieve.

Furthermore, Rabbi Sacks points out that 90% of Jewish students are lost on campuses because we fail to bring our spiritual message to them. Paper Gun is a unique tool to reach these students and offer them something profound that resonates with their spiritual journey.

Next Steps:

I would love to discuss the possibility of Baby Tosh performing Paper Gun on your campus. If you’re interested, please feel free to contact me at alan@babytosh.com or call 845-323-2631. Alternatively, you can reach Paul directly at paul@babytosh.com or call 904-860-2362 to schedule the performance.

We look forward to connecting with you!

Kind regards,

P.S. I highly recommend considering Paper Gun for your campus. It’s a transformative experience that taps into the deep emotional and spiritual needs of students. However, if you feel a combination performance, such as the Six Decades of Jewish Songwriters show, would be more suitable, we can certainly arrange that as well.

Subject: Booking Opportunities for Baby Tosh's Operetta & Concerts

Dear [Agent's Name],

I hope you’re well! As per our recent conversation, I wanted to share an update on my performances and express my interest in expanding my operetta to small clubs and theatre venues.

Currently, I have been performing Paper Gun (my Operetta) in private homes and Six Decades of Jewish Songwritersconcerts in shuls and 55+ communities. I believe my Operetta has great potential in a more intimate club or theatre setting, and I would love your assistance in connecting with these types of venues.

I have a top-of-the-line camper van, fully set up for performance and travel, meaning I can be anywhere at short notice and am flexible with location.
