In the TRUK CHESHBON
this might not work to the degree that it has to, although it gives me a roof over my head still, and therefore will have to be sold. With that in mind, here's a Cheshban as well as the negea of it being more schleppable with the weight, it makes simple sense for the following reason.
regards the below I kept all the email notifications open on my desktop so I can say Ive seen something to assure of the appeal at least
TRUK TIMING
I have to have find the truck we want to buy ostensibly before July 1st
Latest I would arrive for the formalities of the purchase on July 1st
Preferrably I do this 2 weeks earlier;
the week beginning Monday 16th of June
It is at this point to have a cheque for the truck and the insurance
As so much mod’s to be done in a short space of time before starting the drive to Colorado (including getting the sub trunk lid removed).
I guess I may end up delayed in going to Colorado, but thatdelays the bookings (in Charleston, Savannah and FL eg St Onje BezH) leading up to RH) for immediately after getting the thing fitted, which Im about to make right now.
So I guess I can hold off (not a major issue*) selling and making the bookings until I can get an understanding that on July 1st I could have that cheque and insurance, so I could have found “the right deal” leading up to it.
THE RIGHT DEAL defined below as the clever way to purchase it to maintain vastly increased value and re-salleability. But they go fast – and the others takka don’t, (proving the point).
*NOT A MAJOR ISSUE holding off as the real priority is:
Getting the funds for, and
finding and training up the sales person as per mandates: target trials
for bookings for after the chagim RH et
BECAUSE THAT’S whas really BezH’ going to get me the big sales for the million reasons we will have discussed. Yes I have St Onje and Charleston and BezH’ they will be great – but normally any leads even still should be passed to our salesman – he works for “Alan Gestetner management” – this is not to be forgotten
It would be a bit better if
So we have to discuss the one I think to go for:
• Reason for tri motor
TRUK chidush
I do prefer it of course due to the greater load capacity it deals with, but due to the delay I was afforded the opportunity to observe the market behaviours with the “price drop” emails on the ones I “tagged” and the constant movement of the tri moter and the complete lack of movement on the dual motor
TRUK SECTION / the right deal
it's important that the tri motot because the others dont re-sell, the way thins one sells – relatively immdiateley – as well as observing - the main point is the difference in price when it's 2nd hand and part of what was launch "fundation series" which comes WITH the 8k FSD - is minimal - and its got that extra schlepping around motor for the heavy camper all the time as it has a higher weight toe capacity due to the extra motor.
ALSO it's important becasue the fact is that im happier that if this plan fails (choolila) it can be sold, sold easily, and sold well; not only the trimotor sellability fact, but fitted with the camper as the single only FSD camper vehicle on the planet -it's a sellable item.
I see them sell, it means such a thing can exist: eg
3-18,000 miles
It takes a 20k hit
It includes the 8k fsd add on = As a promo for the “foundation” launch tri motor only= more torque for the 2000Lb camper that will b in the truk bed 24/7
= exact same price as a brand-new twin motor version with the 8k fsd added on
But yet to take any hit
It’s also 1 sold new for every 4 according to GPT
As well as being 20k more at new
But the resale drop on both don’t differ much at all
And long-term resale (1 in 4) makes this wayyy more “the desirable” in to be re-sold
Just no extra 7500 tax credit
but still a 4000 tax credit for a 2nd hand one (3500 less than a new vehicle)
so wnvr it can be sold and as the only FSD camper in the USA, and on the tri motor I’m somewhat confident it will get a good price, if choollila I really don’t hit the mark on all fronts,
I also went in and checked at Tesla
Since also not doing foundation series any more…
dual qualifies for tax credit only
tri not
= another contib factor to more non tri motors made
Yet when depreciation hits its not much difference
I think one can offer 85 (+tax) and get it
when I'm in the position to keep an eye out, identify and respond
TRUCK & TIMING
$800 spent already on ordering some prep extranious stuff
= as soon as you can write the truk cheque / start the payments
= I will be able to know when I can "find the right one as per", and tell them to hold it - latest to be on time for camper build completion would be July 1st as I haver a bunch of mods needing done first
then Id just stay with you if thats ok till you can do it
TRUCK CHESHBON – Summary and Timing Plan
In the truk cheshbon, this may not work exactly to the degree it ideally has to—it does still provide me a roof over my head.
So with the former in mind, here's a breakdown of the logic behind it, especially considering schleppability factor and the larger strategic picture.
Email Notifications
I've kept all relevant email notifications open on my desktop so I can track interest and assure myself of the appeal—at least enough to know the concept has legs.
TRUCK PURCHASE TIMING
-
Truck found before: July 1st (pref latest)
-
Ideal arrival for formalities: June 16
-
At that time, both the cheque for the truck and the insurance in place.
-
Several important modifications (including removing the sub trunk lid) must be completed before the camper build and the eventual drive to Colorado.
I may end up delayed in going to Colorado, which could impact some booking timelines (Charleston, Savannah, FL, e.g., St. Onje), but that’s acceptable as long as the financial and logistical setup is sound.
The goal now is not to rush bookings, but to ensure by July 1st that I have secured the right vehicle deal.
WHY THE TRI-MOTOR IS THE RIGHT DEAL
The tri-motor Cybertruck is objectively the smarter buy:
-
Stronger resale value: They move quickly compared to dual-motor versions, which rarely sell.
-
Includes the $8K Full Self Driving (FSD) package as part of the Foundation Series.
-
Far superior for towing and carrying the 2,000 lb camper due to the extra motor.
-
If this plan doesn’t work out (chas v’shalom), the tri-motor with FSD + camper becomes a rare, sellable asset: the only FSD camper rig in the U.S.
Observed Market Behavior:
-
Tri-motor trucks with 3k–18k miles take about a $20K depreciation hit, but hold better long-term value.
-
They sell at around the same price as a brand-new dual-motor with FSD but are much more desirable.
-
Tesla is no longer producing Foundation Series units, adding to the rarity and resale potential.
-
1 in 4 trucks sold is tri-motor, showing relative exclusivity.
-
Used tri-motors qualify for a $4,000 used vehicle tax credit, while new dual-motors qualify for $7,500.
ACTION PLAN
-
Ideal offer for tri-motor: $85K + tax.
-
As soon as funds are available, I’ll identify the right truck and instruct the seller to hold it.
-
Deadline for securing the truck: July 1st (to allow for camper completion and modifications). Pref June 16
-
I've already spent $800 on prep items, so the moment we’re ready to move financially, I’ll stay with you if that’s okay, until the purchase is finalized.
BIGGER PICTURE
It’s not a major issue to delay some bookings. The real priority is:
-
Getting the funds in place
-
Hiring and training a sales rep to handle bookings for after the Chagim (Rosh Hashanah etc.)
Yes, I have St. Onje and Charleston lined up, and they’ll be great Be’ezrat Hashem—but leads should be routed through our rep, who works under “Alan Gestetner Management.” This structure is what’s ultimately going to drive serious bookings.
